Agricultural Sales Representative

The Company

Job Purpose

To manage and grow sales in assigned geography while also providing leadership and oversight for all location activities. In addition, the location sales manager is responsible for creating a culture in line with the company’s values and managing the location’s P&L.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain and grow sales within the territory.
  • Build and maintain relationships with farmers in assigned territory.
  • Provide best-in-class service to our customers.
  • Execute on Meherrin sales strategy.
  • Stay up to date on products, trends, and technologies.
  • Assist with monthly physical inventory count.
  • Attend and participate in industry events (trade shows, field days, etc.)
  • Ensure that all daily activities are aligned with Meherrin’s mission, vision, and values.
  • Adhere to company’s credit policies and procedures.

Education and/or Experience

  • Associate’s degree is required, Bachelor’s degree is preferred
  • Prior management and/or outside sales experience
  • Good understanding of agriculture production, products, and agronomics.

  • Work individually and on a team
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)

Work Environment

Combination of office environment along with duties that will require travel to locations and meeting with customers.
