Job Purpose
Hampton Farms is searching for a Marketing Financial Analyst who will be responsible for managing mix and margin by collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize product offerings and pricing strategies, aiming to enhance revenue and profitability. They evaluate promotional effectiveness, support new product development, and leverage data to aid the sales team in identifying opportunities and developing selling strategies. Additionally, they produce and share monthly and quarterly reports with Sales and Marketing, ensuring informed decision-making and strategic alignment. This position will report to the Director of Brand Marketing.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Mix and Margin Management: Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, sales, and finance to optimize product offerings and maximize margin potential.
- Pricing: Develop and implement pricing strategies that optimize sustainable revenue and profitability across various product lines and customer segments.
- Promotional Effectiveness: Evaluate the effectiveness of promotional activities and campaigns in driving revenue and profitability.
- Innovation: Partner with commercial and operational teams on new product development and pricing through all stages of the development and commercialization process.
- Sales Support: Leverage all available data resources (internal and external) to support sales organization to find opportunities and develop selling stories to win incremental business. Support all customer line reviews and business reviews, perform customer deep dives to diagnose the business and support sell-in of key initiatives.
- Reporting: Develop and publish monthly and quarterly reporting in partnership with Sales and Marketing.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Degree in Business, or related fields
- At least 2 to 3 years experience in CPG/retail as sales or Trade Analyst
- Previous experience managing and analyzing datasets and building financial models
- MS Excel advanced level and ability to create confidently draw conclusions from data
- Experience analyzing syndicated data (IRI, Neilsen)
- Experience working with cross-functional teams and ability to work on several deliverables simultaneous
- High level of intellectual and commercial curiosity
Work Environment:
Combination of office environment along with duties that will require travel to manufacturing plants, customers, trade shows and industry service providers.
