Journeyman Electrician/Mechanical Technician – 2nd Shift

Job Overview
This position is responsible for providing electrical and mechanical troubleshooting support for plant production, packaging, conveyance and palletizing lines and supporting utility production services i.e., chiller and boiler operations, etc. Responsible for completing scheduled repairs, implementing preventative maintenance measures, responding to emergency repairs calls, and troubleshooting as needed.

Pay: $25.00 – $32.00 per hour

Responsibilities

  • Daily attendance to ensure that production equipment is always operational.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical – mechanical failures using the inter-relationship of HMI and PLC controls to make the appropriate repairs in all aspects of automation, conveyance, packaging, processing, and robotics.
  • Apply specific knowledge of electronic sorting, roasters, boiler applications of their maintenance, repair optimized operation.
  • Examines form and texture of parts to detect imperfections.
  • Complete scheduled repairs and preventative maintenance.
  • Respond to emergency repair calls.
  • Implement and monitor and ensures that preventative maintenance of equipment is being executed and properly documented.
  • Follow proper lock out tag out procedures when working on electrical systems for any machinery
  • Ensure that all GMP’S & Hot Work Policies are followed.
  • Ensure that proper safety equipment is being worn; bump caps, gloves coats, pants and safety glasses, face shields, Arc Flash PPE (when applicable), and earplugs etc.
  • Will maintain forklift certification through required re-certification tests. • Observe mechanical and instrumental operation of equipment and work with production personnel to maintain optimal performance.
  • Must ensure that the response time to any mechanical or electrical failure is adequate, to ensure minimal production downtime.
  • Work with co-workers to coordinate preventative maintenance and any repairs that need to be addressed.
  • Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments.
  • Starts equipment to test their performance.
  • Must have own tools.
  • Review and enforce the Company’s food safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Must be available to work all shifts and weekends as required.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma, vocational/technical training is highly desirable.
  • Minimum of two years of mechanical maintenance and/or electrical experience in a food manufacturing environment. • Must have foundational knowledge of the principles of electricity
  • Must be able to read an electrical diagram/schematic and troubleshoot equipment based on that diagram/schematic including the use of a multi-meter
  • Good working knowledge of food processes and packaging equipment. • Excellent mechanical skills required. Knowledge of PLC programs for troubleshooting purposes is preferred.
  • Must be familiar and practice proper GMP’s, HACCP, OSHA, and USDA regulations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Skilled in calculating basic mathematical figures/amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Basic computer skills are needed to perform job duties and use programs needed to work on machinery
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.

Warehouse Associate – Forklift Driver – 2nd Shift

Job description:

SUMMARY

Machine Operators for the butter department run high speed automated equipment and manage all aspects of the butter line. They verify usage of correct materials, ingredients & date codes and are responsible for ensuring that our products are produced in accordance with quality and safety standards. The machine operator will need to maintain a good attendance record and meet production standards while working on manufacturing equipment within a Food Manufacturing facility.

Pay: $18.00 – $20.00 per hour

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

· Receiving/Put-Away: Unload inbound shipments safely and move product to storage locations. Efficiently stack and store the merchandise in the appropriate areas.

· Quality: Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage. Report quality variances to supervisor.

· Order Picking: Pull and prepare product for shipment, ensuring that the exact number and type of product is loaded and shipped. Perform picking duties in an efficient manner that meets customer service standards.

· Loading: Efficiently move product from staging and/or storage areas into rail cars or trailers. Equipment: Load, unload, move, stack, and stage product and materials using a forklift, clamp truck, or other power equipment. Use radio frequency equipment for picking, receiving, put away, and load functions, as required.

· Maintain the facility’s equipment and materials in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion. On a daily basis, inspect and perform minor maintenance on the forklift or other equipment.

· Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following prescribed work methods. Inventory: Keep appropriate records and reports to guarantee that tight inventory control and security are maintained. Assist in physical inventories. Ensure proper stock rotation.

· Safety, Sanitation, Security: Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area. Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse. Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety. Comply with OSHA and MSDS Standards.

· Review and enforce the Company’s food safety, quality and regulatory standards.

· Works evenings and weekends as required.

· Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Machine Operator – Boxing Line – 2nd Shift

Job description:

SUMMARY

Machine Operators run high speed automated equipment for the boxing line and manage all aspects of the boxing line. The machine operator will need to maintain a good attendance record and meet production standards while working on manufacturing equipment within a Food Manufacturing facility.

Pay: $18.00 – $21.00 per year

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

· Before startup – checks equipment and work area to ensure safety and sanitation conditions are ready for use.

· Assembles and disassembles equipment for sanitation purposes.

· Set up and adjust equipment for production runs.

· Based on line speed, adjusts equipment to meet specifications, and periodically checks product to ensure specifications are met.

· Perform all quality checks assigned to each position on the production line.

· Coordinates with other departments when needed to ensure the flow of the packaging materials and raw materials meet line needs.

· Maintains records and compiles reports as required for production and quality.

· Assists with and performs changeovers and /or adjustments on machines within area of responsibility.

· Read and interpret packaging specifications, schedules, pallet configurations, code date formats, and all customer specifications.

· Daily attendance to avoid interruption of production.

· Review and enforce the Company’s Food Safety, Quality -GMP’s and Regulatory Standards.

· Follow approved clean up procedures and shutdown.

· Performs other duties as assigned

This position will be based at our Ready Roast location in Madera, CA.

SUMMARY

Perform process checks throughout the production, packaging, sanitation and warehousing functions of the company, including pre-operational checks, sanitation verification, label checks, net weight checks, package integrity checks and organoleptic checks. This position will report to the Assistant Quality Manager.

Pay Range: $21.00 – $27.00 per hour depending on experience.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Coordinate with production to ensure that products meet the established customer standards and notify the production team and QA management when problems occur
  • Direct & Assist the QA Technicians while verifying completion of all daily tasks
  • Initiate Hard Holds when necessary on non-conforming product, including labeling, segregating the product (systematically and physically), and sending an email communication to management reporting the issue
  • Conduct weekly environmental swabs and update file weekly with results
  • Calibrate laboratory test equipment.
  • Communicate, schedule and execute sample submittals to external laboratories for batch testing.
  • Provide independent oversight of processes, verifying compliance with company standards and policies, and effectively communicating when there are deviations from standards or processes.
  • Review and sign production and QA documentation within 7 days of production, including HACCP critical control points, to be SQF compliant
  • Inventory lab supplies, equipment, and chemicals to notify when the lab needs to place another order
  • Organize, file, and manage production folders and retains
  • Conduct research on Quality Assurance issues and deliver reports on research to management.
  • Review and enforce the Company’s food safety, quality and regulatory standards in addition to 3rd party auditor requirements
  • Works evenings and weekends as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 1+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, food industry preferred
  • Basic math and literacy Basic computer operation skills
