Seasonal Yard Truck Operator

This seasonal position is based at our Peanut Processors facility in Elizabethtown, NC.

Job Responsibilities

  • Work first and second shifts at our peanut receiving warehouses.
  • Work with minimal oversight and willing to follow directions closely
  • Maintain a sanitary work environment that promotes employee cleanliness and meets all regulatory requirements
  • May work in all areas of the plant(s) to maintain areas in accordance with Master Sanitation Schedules
  • May be asked to conduct visual inspections verifying that all production, picking, processing, sorting, packaging, warehousing, and areas are ready for the next production shift/day.
  • Open and flexible to occasional fluctuating/flexing hours based on business need and customer order shipment scheduling

Experience and Education Requirements

  • Manufacturing is helpful,
  • Any experience in food manufacturing and
  • GMP knowledge is a plus.
  • Must be willing to work in production and manufacturing environments.

Maintenance Technician (2nd shift)

This position is based at our Peanut Processors location in Elizabethtown, NC.

We are also a leading producer of other types of nuts and nut butters for the retail and commercial markets. You can find our product in most grocery stores and major league baseball stadiums. We distribute under the Hampton Farms brand and are also a leading private label manufacturer.

Job Purpose
The Maintenance Technician maintains and repairs various equipment at eth Hampton Farms peanut roasting facility. The facility in Severn, NC is involved in the manufacture of food products intended for the consumer. The position reports to the Maintenance Department Manager.

Shift type: Rotation of working 2ndshift one week of every month and 1stshift the remainder of each month.

Responsibilities

  • Work with Maintenance Manager, QA Manager and Production Manager to effectively operate the daily operations
  • Work with Hampton Farms employees to be committed to produce the best product for our customers
  • To be committed to meet all company and customers’ needs
  • Ensure all production lines are running and respond to any breakdowns to eliminate down times
  • Work with all supervisors and employees to ensure that all equipment is running efficiently to be able to meet the line goals
  • Able to ensure that all SQF and sanitary practices are followed
  • Trouble shoot and repair single and three phase electrical equipment
  • Must be able to work in a safe manner, adhering to all safety regulations and requirements
  • Capability to trouble shoot and repair equipment mechanical problems
  • Fabricate metal
  • Ability to maintain and use continues improvement on process equipment and controls
  • Ability to work in a food safe environment and adhere to GMP’S and all food safe requirements
  • Must be able to be put on call in schedule
  • Ability to perform PM’S and emergency repairs

Experience and Skills

  • 3 years of Technician Maintenance experience
  • Mechanical and electrical experience would be a plus
  • Knowledge of company GMPs
  • Knowledge in welding
  • SOP’s for all production functions
  • General knowledge of SOP’s for all Process & Packaging areas and pieces of production equipment
  • Plant Inspection Program and Pre-Operational Inspection Program
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
  • Good communication skills
  • Familiar with lean manufacturing, continuous improvement
  • Have flexibility working shifts

Certification

  • Forklift certification would be a plus

2nd Shift Production Supervisor

This position will be based at our Peanut Processors location in Elizabethtown, NC.

Shift type: 2nd – 3:30PM – 12:00AM

Job Purpose

The Production Supervisor at our PPE location will be involved in the manufacture of consumer-packaged goods. The Supervisor provides a critical position in the manufacturing quality and safety for producing our products. This position must be aware of the risks involved in maintaining our product quality standards, proper packaging, proper labeling, all receiving, and shipments are properly inspected, and all documentation is correct and accurate. The Supervisor is trained in various areas pertaining to the job required. This position will report to the Manager.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Partner with our team members in being committed to delivering the best possible product to our customers.
  • Supervise up to 25 employees per shift to ensure that all daily operations of the plant run smoothly.
  • Coordinates work schedules, staffing requirements, and production sequences to maximize
  • productivity.
  • Work in conjunction with the manager for scheduling of production
  • Assign personnel accordingly to meet production goals
  • Maintain working knowledge of machine capabilities
  • Delivers or coordinates staff training and on-boards new staff.
  • Work with maintenance to keep equipment running at its peak efficiency
  • Recommend improvements in machinery, equipment, or manufacturing methods
  • Oversee compliance with all food safety regulations and employee safety requirements
  • Provide employee training based on job requirements
  • Conduct monthly inventory
  • Oversee cleaning in accordance with the cleaning and sanitation schedules
  • Inspect forklift drivers
  • Report safety problems to management
  • Duty to report illness or bodily fluid contamination that could impact manufacturing safety
  • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices
  • Awareness in role to ensure we meet SQF and other regulatory requirements

Education and/or Experience

  • Associate degree preferred
  • 3+ years of supervision/management experience
  • Food production experience
  • Working knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook and other business software.
  • Preferred understanding on company policies, practices, & procedures
  • Mechanical knowledge is essential

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

  • Forklift certification would be a plus
