The Company

Meherrin Ag and Chemical Company in Bridgeville, Delaware is a retail agricultural fertilizer and chemical company that sells agricultural inputs such as liquid / dry fertilizer, commercial seed, and a wide range of pesticides direct to local farmers. Our local footprint averages within 30 miles of our Bridgeville location, except for several customers on the Eastern Shore of Virginia and some wholesale accounts in Pennsylvania. Our entire business revolves around farmers needs for fertility and chemistry with a wide range of crops.

Position Overview

· CDL Class A Endorsement

· HazMat Endorsement

· Must be able to pass drug screen and background check

· Operate tractor trailer or commercial truck to make deliveries

· Warehouse operations

· Other duties as assigned

· Safety mindset

Physical Demands

· Must be able to pass DOT Medical Exam

· Lift 60 pounds on a regular basis

CDL Delivery Driver

Job description:

This position is based at our Meherrin location in Elizabeth City, NC.

The Company

Meherrin Agricultural and Chemical Company is a leading provider of seeds, chemicals, and fertilizer to farmers throughout Virginia and the Carolinas.

Pay: $17.00 – $18.00 per hour

Summary

  • CDL Class A or B Endorsement
  • Tanker, Airbrakes, & HAZMAT Endorsement
  • Must be able to pass drug screen and background check
  • Loads and assists in loading of orders for customers
  • Operates Box truck to deliver product to customers
  • Assist warehouse staff when not on the road
  • Great driving record
  • Deliver products to other connected locations
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Safety mindset

Physical Demands

  • Must be able to pass DOT Medical Exam
  • Lift 60 pounds on a regular basis

Equipment Maintenance Responsibility’s

  • Inspects trucks daily to monitor the need for routine maintenance
  • Refuel trucks as required
  • Services truck oil/air/and fuel filters as needed
  • Complies with all DOT regulations
