Sales Administrator

This position will be based at our Hampton Farms location in Raleigh, NC or Edenton, NC.

The Company

Hampton Farms is the leading In-Shell Peanut Company in the US. We are also a leading producer of other types of nuts and nut butters for the retail and commercial markets. You can find our product in most grocery stores and major league baseball stadiums. We distribute under the Hampton Farms brand and are also a leading private label manufacturer.

Job Purpose

We is looking for a Sales Administrator to join our team in Eastern NC. Provide industry leading customer service, both external and internal, to maintain and advance the company’s mission, vison, and values. The Sales Administrator will be responsible for the day to day administrative duties for our Sales Managers. This position will work closely with our customers and brokers as well as our production, transportation, quality, and accounting departments on a daily basis. This position will report to the Sales Manager.

This position is non-exempt and will be compensated for overtime.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of customer service
  • Receive orders from customers via phone, email, text
  • Suggestive selling
  • Order entry
  • Claims
  • Reporting
  • Work closely with other departments (warehousing/shipping/production) to ensure excellent customer service
  • Monitor AR to ensure accounts are up to date and accurate
  • Follow up with sales manager on all new inquiries and leads
  • Monitor sales and provide input to production scheduler to ensure order fulfillment
  • Hours of operation for this position: 8:00am to 5:00pm
  • This is not a work from home position

Education and/or Experience

  • High school diploma required, associate degree preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years’ administrative experience
